Dr. Castro’s research focuses on promoting access through equity for hispanic students, and developing technological solutions for English language learners. She is a seasoned educational presenter, and the recipient of various educational awards, most recently as a scholarship award recipient from the Council of Hispanic Affairs. She is currently an elementary school teacher specializing in World Cultures, where she blends her unique background in law enforcement and sociology to enhance the lives of students and families.
